Good French Apple Pie

I ordered a French Apple Pie for a family dinner last weekend. It arrived fresh and tasted pretty good, just like I remember from growing up. Delivery was on time, which was nice since we were all waiting for dessert. Overall, a solid experience with Sugarhouse.

My favorite Honey Cake!

Oh my goodness, I just had to get the Honey Cake again, and it was absolutely divine! The layers were perfect, and the cream was so light and not too sweet. It arrived in perfect condition, and my whole family loved it. I'm already planning my next order for the holidays. Definitely recommend Sugarhouse, you won't regret it!

Satisfied with Carbonara and delivery

I decided to try their Carbonara for lunch delivery. The ordering process on the website was straightforward, and I appreciated the clear delivery time estimate. The pasta arrived hot and well-packaged, and the portion size was generous for the price. The sauce was creamy and flavorful, not too heavy. I was a bit worried about ordering a hot meal for delivery, but it held up really well. I'd definitely order it again for a quick and tasty lunch. It took about an hour to get here in Pasig, which was reasonable for lunchtime traffic.

Decent cake, delivery a bit slow

I got the Chocolate Bliss cake for my daughter's birthday. The cake itself was rich and moist, everyone liked it. My main issue was the delivery; it took 4 days to reach our house in Makati, which felt a little long. Everything was packed well, but I wish it had arrived a day sooner. Good value for money though.

how's the delivery service if I order directly from their site? do they deliver across metro manila?

R Raj Osei 2 months ago

Yeah, they deliver throughout Metro Manila. I've ordered a few times and it's been pretty reliable. Just make sure to input your address correctly. Delivery fees apply, of course.

M Marcus 2 months ago

They do. I think they use their own riders or a partner courier. Never had an issue getting stuff delivered in QC. You can also use GrabFood or FoodPanda if you prefer those apps, but sometimes the prices/promos are different.

does sugarhouse do a birthday discount? wanna treat myself but also save a few bucks haha.

B Beth 2 months ago

Nah, I don't think so. I've never seen a specific birthday promo from them directly. Most of their discounts are for credit cards or senior/PWD stuff.

D Daisy D. 2 months ago

Not usually for individual birthdays. You might get lucky if your bank has a promo with them, like some BDO cardholders get discounts sometimes, but it's not a standard 'birthday' thing.

Anyone know if their apple pie is better than Banapple's? trying to decide which to get for a party.

M Megan 2 months ago

Sugarhouse's French Apple Pie is a classic, been around forever. It's more of a traditional, buttery, slightly tart apple pie. Banapple's is good too, but different, usually sweeter with a creamier topping.

T Tom Q. 2 months ago

Totally different vibe. Sugarhouse is OG for apple pie, really good crust. Banapple is more like a modern twist. Depends on what you're in the mood for, I'd say Sugarhouse if you want that classic bakery feel.

are those bdo card promos still active for sugarhouse? wanna use my card for a cake this week.

D Dan Reyes 2 months ago

Sometimes. They rotate banks. Best to check the BDO website or Sugarhouse's social media page to see current tie-ups. I used one last month but it was for a specific set menu.

J Jared Beaumont 2 months ago

You'd have to check what specific promo is running. They usually have different deals for different banks at different times, so it's not constant. Might be worth a quick call to a branch or checking their site.

hey, was thinking of getting a french apple pie for my mom's bday. how far out do i need to order it?

K Kate F. 2 months ago

For cakes, it's usually best to give them a heads up. I ordered a cheesecake last month and they said 2 days minimum for most cakes, especially if it's a popular one.

R Rachel 2 months ago

Yeah, I think 2-3 days is safe. If it's for a weekend or a holiday, maybe even more because they get super busy.
